There are nice 55 Chevy trucks and then there are fine 55’s. The owners came over to Columbus this summer from PA to show off there LS3 powered 55 Chevy pickup. The truck is a custom built masterpiece of perfection. A flawless body sits on a custom built chassis with Scott’s Mustang II front suspension, custom 4 link, Firestone air bags controlled by an Accuaire E-Level Air Management System, Ford 8.8 rear end and Wilwood brakes providing the stopping power.
Providing the rumble is a 425 HP LS3 with BBK headers pumping through a 2-1/2″ stainless exhaust and Magnaflow mufflers. Backing up the LS engine is a Chevrolet Performance 4L65E transmission.
PPG paint was shot on the mostly 55 body. A 57 hood was used along with a 59 bed for a unique look to the 55. Rounding out the custom body is a custom firewall, fabricated radiator cover and a shaved cowl and wipers.
Wheel Vintiques rims wrapped in custom BF Goodrich Radial TA whitewalls are tucked under those massive fender wells. (225/70/R15 wheels up front and 235/60/R15 out back)
Inside, a custom interior provides the comfort along with a Vintage Air Heat/AC unit. The dash was modified and uses Dakota Digital HDX instrumentation.
