Original 1959 Ford F350 4×4

0

1959 F350 4x4Ford was a latecomer to the light truck 4×4 market. The Dodge Power Wagon was out in the mid 40’s and GMC had a 4×4 in the early 50’s. This 1959 F-350 4×4 from Nyew York is one of only 800 that Ford built that first year. Most came set up for commercial use: tow truck, ice cream truck. Approximately 300 F-350’s in 4 wheel drive came with “style side” bed as on this vehicle. The chassis, body and engine of this truck were built in Ford’s Dearborn, Michigan plant, but the 4-wheel drive components came from a company in Indiana, named Marmon-Herrington, that made 4-wheel drive military vehicles. The 292 engine and drive train are all original, and the truck has been restored to original colors and condition all the way down to the correct “ND” (non directional) tires that came stock.

1966 Chevy C10 Propane FlamesI’ve always had a problem calling flames cool, just because….Flames are hot, right? Don’t get me wrong, I dig flames on hot rods when they’re done well. In this case, it’s easy to call the flame job on this 66 C10 cool. Tom from Rhode Island sent in photos of his blue flamed (I like to call them “Propane Flames”). We think you’ll like them too.

When it comes to 1963 Chevy trucks, we don’t see a ton that make us turn our heads like this one from Phoenix, Arizona. Full air ride suspension puts this truck in the weeds for a stance we love. Packed with custom features, like suicide doors, electric suicide hood, leather interior, dvd/nav and air conditioning. Its powered by a GMPP Ramjet 350 crate engine backed by a 700R4 transmission. The paint and trim detail are simply flawless. We love it.
