Show Winning 1959 Chevy 3100 Apache Fleetside

1959 Chevy Apache FrontThis is a very fine 1959 Apache Fleetside, with a frame off restoration completed in 2005. John from Arkansas says it’s, “A joy to drive and rides beautifully. It shows well and always gets a lot of admirers.”

John stated with a rust free body. He then stripped the body to bare metal, prepped the metal and shot victory red paint. All the chrome is in great condition. The wood bed of the truck was completely restored with new red oak and stainless runners. For a cleaner look, tailgate brackets and chains were shaved.

Under the hood is a 300 HP GM 350 Crate Motor with a new Holley Street Avenger carb, HEI ignition, Optima battery and Painless Wiring harness. It is kept running cool by a new aluminum Griffin radiator (600 hp rated), 2400 cfm electric pull fan and stainless overflow tank. It has a GM serpentine belt system, Old Air A/C system with a GM compressor, power steering, power brakes (front disc / rear drum) and all new brake and fuel lines. The engine is connected to a TH350 transmission. The power is transferred to the  rear wheels by a 1974 Nova 10 bolt rear end. The chassis features an 87 half ton front suspension with heavy duty sway bar. Under the bed is an 18 gallon aluminum fuel cell.

The truck rides on custom rally wheels from Stockton Wheel with classic moon center caps w/ embossed Chevy bowtie. The interior metal is red to match the exterior. A GM tilt steering column with a 90’s Chevy truck steering wheel was installed. The dash board features a modern analog VDO instrument cluster with a brushed billet aluminum face plate and a Sony AM/FM/CD stereo system that sounds great.

We love it! Nice Work John!
